Man City wins the title after Arsenal loses, keeping Forest safe.

Nottingham Forest defeated Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday to end Arsenal's slim chances of winning the Premier League. Taiwo Awoniyi's goal gave Nottingham Forest the victory and ensured their place in the top division.

Just two months prior, Mikel Arteta's club was eight points clear at the top. Since then, however, they have had a dreadful season, with their most recent loss guaranteeing Manchester City's second consecutive championship.

I commend Manchester City. They are the champs, and they earned to win, Arteta murmured in despair.

I apologise because we created the expectation that we could succeed, but we didn't, and I'm to blame for that.

The amazing survival of Steve Cooper's Nottingham Forest, who narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship last year, was celebrated in contrast to the visitors' hopelessness when they reached 37 points.

Cooper pumped his fist at ecstatic fans in the crowded, sun-drenched City Ground on the banks of the River Trent, saying, "I can't believe we kept a clean sheet! ".

It's a day for the athletes and the fans alike. Nobody has given up, and we ultimately succeeded in crossing the finish line. I'm incredibly happy and proud.

As expected, Arsenal had the majority of the ball but couldn't convert it into goals. The superb Keylor Navas in goal for the hosts repeatedly denied Gabriel Jesus.
